
Dr. Changjo Kim, a graduate of the Advanced Devices for Energy Conversion (ADEC) Lab (advisor: Prof. Jung-Yong Lee), has been appointed as an assistant professor in the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Ulsan, effective September 1, 2025.
Dr. Kim earned his B.S. in Mathematical Sciences from KAIST in February 2016 and his Ph.D. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from KAIST in August 2022. From March 2023 to August 2025, he conducted postdoctoral research at Los Alamos National Laboratory in the United States.
His research primarily focuses on the development of photodiodes and LED-based laser diodes utilizing nanoscale semiconductor materials. He has published numerous research papers in leading international journals in this field, reflecting the significance and impact of his contributions.
Looking ahead, Dr. Kim aims to explore novel device architectures and expand the application potential of nanoscale semiconductors, with the goal of advancing both academic research and industrial innovation.
