Seunghyup Yoo received BS (1996) and MS (1998) from School of Physics at Seoul National University, and PhD from College of Optical Science at the University of Arizona in 2005. He worked as a research scientist at Center for Organic Photonics and Electronics (COPE) in School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech.) from 2003 till 2006. His work was focused on development and characterization of organic electronic devices such as organic photovoltaic (OPV) cells, organic light-emitting diodes (OLED), and organic field-effect transistors (OFET). He was also with Lumoflex, a start-up company working on commercialization of organic electronic devices. On Aug. 2006, he joined Dept. of Electrical Engineering at KAIST as an assistant professor and established “integrated organic electronics lab (IOEL).” IOEL will focus on development of novel OLED displays, OPV, and next-generation printed transistor technology which can be used for integrated driving circuitry in flexible AMOLED displays or for smart-tag-type macroelectronic devices that can benefit from thin, flexible form factors and ultralow fabrication cost.
