Professor Shin, Youngsoo wins the Best Paper Award in ISQED

Professor Shin, Youngsoo of VLSI Design Technology Laboratory won the Best Paper Award with the paper 'A mask reuse methodology for reducing System-on-a-Chip cost' in ISQED (International Symposium on Quality Electronic Design) which happened during March 21 to March 23, 2005 in San Jose. Best Paper Award is an award given by VLSI design professionals under IEEE Computer Society to acknowledge the excellence in VLSI design area. Professor Shin proposed new design method that can produce SOC with high quiality and high integration cost-effectively. ISQED is an excellent symposium which discusses manufacturability, reliability, design methodology and other topics of VLSI design. This year, 222 papers were submitted; and 83 papers were accepted.
