Kim Hyung-soo, vice president of SK Hynix from Professor Jeong-ho Kim’s TERA Lab, won the Young Engineer Award at the 27th National Academy of Engineering of Korea.

Our graduate of the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Kim Hyung-soo, the vice president of SK Hynix, was recently selected as the “27th Young Engineer Award Winner” by the Korea Engineering Limwon (Director Kim Ki-nam, Samsung Comprehensive Technology Institute Chairman) and received the award ceremony on the 20th.
SK Hynix Vice President Kim Hyung-soo is a graduate of Professor Kim Jung-ho’s TERA Lab and obtained his master’s degree in 1999 and his Ph.D in 2005.
As the winner of this year’s Young Engineer Award, Vice President Kim Hyung-soo led the development of the world’s first 1ynm-class 16Gb DDR5 DRAM, contributing greatly to the enhancement of the domestic semiconductor industry.
He was also recognized for his efforts to maintain Korea’s technological leadership in the field of next-generation DRAM, DDR5.
The Young Engineer Award ceremony were held on March 20 at The Westin Chosun Seoul.
