Notice for February 2024 Commencement Ceremony
1. Date/Time : Feb. 16 (Fri), 2024, 12:30~16:30
2. Place : Lyu Keun-Chul Sports Complex (N3)
3. Participants : Those who graduated in Aug. 2023 or are expected to graduate in Feb. 2024
4. Instructions for participants
1) Graduate Waiting area
o Candidates for Bachelor’s degree : Chung Moon Sool B/D (E16) o Candidates for Master’s degree : Auditorium(E15)
o Candidates for Doctoral degree : A/V Room, School of Digital Humanities & Computaltional Social Science B/D(N4)
2) Time to arrive at the waiting place
o Graduates are to arrive at the waiting area between 12:30 and 13:00, after being informed about the progress of the event, prepare to enter the procession.
o Graduates who do not bring their diplomas cannot receive their diplomas from the podium.
3) Information on attendance at the degree conferment ceremony
o How to apply: Graduation uniforms and diplomas are distributed in the seminar room of the main auditorium during the graduation uniform rental period (‘24.2.01~2.07). Indicate whether or not to attend the graduation ceremony on the rental application form with O or X
※ Regardless of whether or not they attended the graduation ceremony indicated on the graduation settlement report, all graduates who received the graduation gown and diploma during the rental period and expressed their intention to attend the graduation ceremony in the application form can attend the event (however, students who did not receive the graduation gown and diploma during the rental period) cannot attend)
4) Graduation Gown Rental and Return
o Graduation gown rental period : Feb. 06(Tues.)∼Feb. 14(Wed.), 2024, 10:00∼17:00
※ weekend ․ Excluding public holidays
o Period for return : By Feb. 16 (Fri.) 19:00 / Feb.17 (Sat.) 10:00∼17:00
o Period for payment of rental fee : Feb. 06(Tues.)∼Feb. 14(Wed.), 2024
o Place for graduation gown rental/return : Auditorium(E15) 1st floor seminar room o Graduation gown rental fee : 10,000 won
o Account number for payment of rental fee : Post Office, 312512-01-000015 (account holder : Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, 한국과학기술원)
o Matters to be checked when renting graduation gown: details of rental fee payment, ID card
o Note
– Graduation uniform rental fees must be paid in the name of the graduate – Check the deposit details or deposit screen when renting graduation uniforms
– Graduation clothes are only available for rental during the specified period
※ proxy collection of graduation uniforms and diplomas is possible only when the proxy recipient and proxy applicant have their ID cards.
5) Guidelines for families accompanying graduates
o For safety reasons, eating and drinking is prohibited at the event venue, and the number of accompanying family members per graduate is limited. We ask for your understanding as it is limited to a maximum of 2 people.
※ Families with limited access to the event can watch the event on the relay screen in the main auditorium (E15)
o Admission tickets for accompanying family members will be distributed during the rental period of graduation clothes, and must be entered on the day of the event. You must bring a ticket to enter.
o Accompanying families must enter the graduation ceremony hall by 1:30 pm (30 minutes before the event) and graduates Please congratulate them with a round of applause as they enter the procession.
