Overview:

The Creative Destruction Lab (CDL), based at the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto, provides a science-based mentoring program catering to seed-stage, disruptive, and massively scalable technology startups, typically founded by scientists and engineers making the switch to the industry. This is the third year CDL will have a stream specifically focused on Quantum Computing and Quantum Machine Learning companies (QML). The program brings together entrepreneurs, investors, AI experts, leading quantum information researchers (such as Seth Lloyd, Peter Wittek, Michele Mosca and Roger Melko), and our technology partners, D-Wave Systems, Rigetti Computing, and Xanadu, to create new ventures at the frontier of quantum machine learning.

Profile:

Sean is a Venture Manager at Creative Destruction Lab. He is currently managing 10+ QML and AI ventures around the world. Sean completed his MASc in Materials Science & Engineering (University of Toronto) and BASc in Nanotechnology Engineering (University of Waterloo). During his graduate degree, Sean specialized in bio-inspired engineering, prototyping, and microfabrication. Prior to joining CDL, Sean served in the Republic of Korea Army.
