Date

16:00, Friday, July 24, 2015

Speaker

Dr. Joon Young Huh, Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute

Place

Information & Electronics Building (E3-2) Lecture Hall # 5 (Connective Section #2220)

Overview:

In recent years, the development of optical Ethernet transceivers extensively used in datacenters and short distance communication networks have been actively pursued. This seminar will first discuss standards often used in optical Ethernet transceivers like, CFP MSA. Then, the discussion on next generation 100G and 400G standards after the establishment of 40G/100G Ethernet standards in 2010 will be analyzed. This analysis will then be the basis for the discussion on further optical Ethernet transceiver development directions and forecasts.
