– Title : Recent Research Trends for Acceleration of Semiconductor Device Simulation

– Lecturer : Sung-Min Hong(Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology)

– Abstract:

In this work, we explore the topic of accelerated semiconductor device simulation. Recent advancements in this field have
utilized machine learning techniques to mimic the simulation solutions. This presentation critically reviews these recent works,
examining their effectiveness and limitations. Additionally, we introduce an alternative approach to accelerate the semiconductor
device simulation, which is based on the compact charge model and the 1D continuity model. Several issues and their potential
solutions will be briefly discussed.
