1. 지원자격

• 우수한 연구 업적을 보이며 교육 및 연구에서 발전 가능성이 큰 인재
•  새로운 분야, 학문간 공동 연구, 산업체 협력 연구 등에 크게 기여할 수 있는 인재
•  본인의 핵심 연구 분야에서 박사학위를 취득한 인재 또는 취득 예정자
• 영어강의 가능자

※ 단, 박사학위 취득 예정자는 지원일 기준으로 9개월 이내에 최종논문심사에 통과(지도교수 추천서 제출) 할 수 있는 자로서 임용일 전에 박사학위 취득이 가능하여야 함.

3.결격사유

• 국가공무원법 제33조 각호의 1에 해당하는 자
• 법률에 의하여 공민권이 정지 또는 박탈된 자
• 병역법 제76조에 따른 병역의무 불이행자
• 아동‧청소년의 성보호에 관한 법률 제56조에 의해 취업제한 명령을 받은 자
• 다른 공공기관에서 부정한 방법으로 채용된 사실이 적발되어 채용취소 또는 면직된 자로서 처분 일자로부터 5년이 경과하지 않은 자
• 부패방지 및 국민권익위원회의 설치와 운영에 관한 법률 제82조에 따른 비위면직자로서 취업제한 대상자

 

■ 전형절차/방법

– 1차: 서류심사

– 2차: 학부 심층심사

– 3차: 학부 세미나 및 종합심의

– 4차: 단과대학 교원인사심의회 및 본부 교원인사위원회 심의 후 최종 임용 결정

    (정년보장 및 교수 직급 채용 시 교원인사위원회 심의)

– 대표논문 5편 (추가 가능)

∗ 조교수 및 부교수로 지원할 경우 총 3부 제출

The School of Electrical Engineering is accepting applications for full-time faculty positions as outlined below:

■ Requirements and Priorities

 

1. Basic Requirements

•  Demonstrated research excellence and potential for significant contributions in education and research.
•  Ability to contribute to emerging disciplines, interdisciplinary research, and industry collaboration.
•  Ph.D. in a relevant field (candidates expecting to earn a Ph.D. must provide confirmation of passing their thesis defense within nine months of the application date and receive the degree before the appointment date).
•  Ability to teach in English.

 

2.Preferred Candidates

•  International scholars and female researchers.

 

3. Grounds for Disqualification

•  Ineligibility under Article 33 of the State Public Officials Act.
•  Suspension or loss of civil rights under relevant laws.
•  Non-compliance with military service obligations as per Article 76 of the Military Service Act.
•  Employment restrictions under the Sexual Protection of Children and Juveniles Act or other legal restrictions.
•  Revocation or dismissal from a public institution due to illegal employment, where five years have not yet elapsed since the date of dismissal.
•  Disqualification under Article 82 of the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission Act.

– Round 3: Academic Seminar and Comprehensive Review

– Round 4: Final Approval by the Faculty Deliberations Committee of the respective college or university

  * Note: Tenured faculty appointments are subject to further review by the Faculty Deliberations Committee.

■ Required Documents

– Completed Application Form (template provided).

– Curriculum Vitae (CV).

– Up to five representative research papers (additional papers may be submitted if necessary).

– Letters of Recommendation: Candidates who pass the document screening phase will receive instructions for submission. Recommenders should send letters directly to eehead@kaist.ac.kr.

– Three letters are required for Associate Professor or Assistant Professor applicants.

-Six letters are required for Tenured Professor applicants.
