Lam Research Korea 6th semiconductor paper contest (undergraduate and graduate students)

 

As a leading supplier of wafer fabrication equipment and services to the global semiconductor industry, Lam Research Korea holds a yearly paper contest to encourage researches and to provide scholarships to those in need.

 

 

·  Paper Topics (choose 1 topic)

∙ Analysis on the current semiconductor industry market and forecast future trends

∙ Analysis on trends of semiconductor technology and forecast future

∙ Semiconductor process technology; focusing on Etching, Thin Film Deposition or Clean

 

·  Scholarships

·  Grand Prize: 10,000,000 KRW

·  First Prize: 5,000,000 KRW

·  Second Prize (1 graduate team, 1 undergraduate team): 3,000,000 KRW

 

·  Format & Rules

·  A4-size, Font size 10, over 20 pages, Korean or English (in MS word)

·  No limitation in the number of team members

·  Basic information of each team member in a separate file (Name, school, major, school year, contact phone number, e-mail address)

·  Paper summary in a separate file (A4-size, within 3 pages)

·  Only papers not published in open-access international or domestic publications (or in any paper contests) as of the submission date are applicable.

·  Applying the contest in deputy to someone else’s study and any sign of plagiarism could jeopardize the selection (prize can be revoked)

·  Employees working in Lam Research are not applicable.

 

·  Contest Schedule

·  Application submission dates: 2016.6.1 ~ 2016.10.31

·  1st-round selection: November of 2016

·  Presentation: To be announced to teams selected to the 1st-round selection

·  Final selection: December of 2016
