This talk starts with introduction of blockchain technology with the brief history of Bitcoin. Then it discusses pros and cons of several consensus mechanism: PoW, PoS, DPoS. It introduces the brief overview of Smart Media Tokens. It also reviews some recent academic research in cryptoeconomics.
Seungwon Jeong received a Ph.D. in Management Science and Engineering and masters degrees in Economics and Statistics from Standford University. Before joining Bristol, he was a new faculty fellow in the Economics Research group at Facebook.
