Q. Please introduce yourself.
A. My name is Sanghoon Kim and I graduated from KAIST as a class 98. I am currently a researcher at the KBS Technical Research Institute. I wish my interview and experiences can of help to the fellow students who are currently having problems choosing their career paths.
Q. Tell us how you came to work in the fields of broadcasting technology.
A. I was in my mid-20s when I was attending KAIST and it was time to make up my mind and decide my career path. Even though I was conducting researches on medical imaging at KAIST, there always was a void in me that could not be filled. I did not know what I truly wanted to do and I was sure that Ph.D. was not one of them. Upon graduation, rather than going to major electronics companies such as Samsung or LG, I wanted to work at a creative company. One thing led to another, and I ended up working at KBS.
