Once anyone sees POSCO’s steel production line, they will not be able to forget the sight that they saw and the heat that they felt. The process of turning the scalding hot molten iron into a final product through numerous refinement stages almost seems to describe the hard work that went into building the company and shaping it to its current status. In this fall issue of the EE Newsletter, we met with Yone-Gi Hur from the POSCO Technical Research Lab.
Q. Please introduce yourself.
A. Hello. Glad to meet you. My name is Yone-Gi Hur and I came to KAIST from 1992 to 1994 for my master’s program, after which I started working for POSCO in its Technical Research Lab. I researched intelligent control systems under the guidance of Prof. Zeungnam Bien, who is currently an honorary professor at Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology, and am now researching the implementation of intelligent control systems.
