Q. Please introduce yourself.
A. I graduated from POSTECH in 1995 with a bachelor’s degree, and graduated from KAIST with master’s and doctoral degrees in 1997 and 2002, respectively. My thesis dealt with the performance improvement of Translation Lookahead Buffer (TLB).
Q. Can you briefly introduce Google?
A. Google has approximately 60 offices in more than 20 countries worldwide, with 200,000 employees. Bay area office is located in Mountain View, CA, where a restaurant with 18 different types of international foods is in operation. Approximately 3,000 applications are being submitted daily, which sums up to millions of applications per year. Google has a eco-friendly company motto, one of which is the densely placed solar panel on the roof. It can provide 1.6 Megawatts, which is about 30 % of the entire electricity usage.
