Dr. Sanghyun Woo is appointed as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at New York University.

We are pleased to announce that Dr. Sanghyun Woo, a graduate of our RCV (Robotics and Computer Vision Lab) in our department (supervisor: Professor In So Kweon), has been appointed as an Assistant Professor/Faculty Fellow in the Department of Computer Science at New York University starting from September 1, 2023.
Dr. Woo earned his Ph.D. from KAIST in February 2023, and has been working as a postdoctoral researcher at the same lab, RCV.
His main research areas are visual recognition and synthesis, and he has published numerous papers in top international conferences and journals such as CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, NeurIPS, TPAMI, IJCV. Dr. Woo plans to conduct research on general artificial intelligence technologies using large-scale self-supervised learning in the future.
