EE Prof. Youjip Won elected as 2024 KIISE president

KAIST (President: Lee Kwang-Hyung) EE professor Youjip Won was elected as the president of Korean Institute of Information Scientists and Engineers for 2024 on November 4th, 2022.

Professor Won will serve as the 39th president of Korean Institute of Information Scientists and Engineers for one year starting from Jan. 1, 2024. He is one of the leading experts on Operating Systems, with a particular emphasis on storage systems. 

 

Korean Institute of Information Scientists and Engineers, one of the most prestigious Korean academic institutions in the field of computer and software, was founded in 1973 and boasts a membership of over 42,000 people and 437 special/group members.

KIISE is responsible for annually publishing 72 periodicals and holding 50 academic conferences
