Ph.D. student Jun-Ki Hong and M.S student Dong-Hyun Lee (Advised by Yung Yi) won grand prize at “Korea Clinical Datathon 2019

Ph.D. student Jun-Ki Hong and M.S student Dong-Hyun Lee (Advised by Yung Yi) won grand prize at “Korea Clinical Datathon 2019” with their research ‘Development of a federated learning model of predicting sudden hemodynamic collapse during ICU stays by incorporating multiple databases’.

“Korea Clinical Datathon” is the first and only clinical big data marathon hosted by the Korean National Enterprise for Clinical Trials (KoNECT) which was held for the second time this year. KAIST students Jun-Ki Hong and Dong-Hyun Lee, who took charge of the core AI & machine learning technique development won this prize with their teammates that include 2 doctors from Seoul National University College of Medicine and 5 scientists (1 Samsung Electronics researcher, 1 Ajou University graduate student, 3 Seoul National University undergraduate students).
