Overview:

Lifestyle related conditions such as obesity, diabetes and cardiovascular problems that have arisen from more sedentary yet stressful living patterns threaten the very sustainability of national health services. They require a quantum transformational change in the current situation by either :- – Effecting lifestyle lasting habit changes in exercise and diet or – Developing clinical solutions that prevent or manage these conditions or – Influencing the food industry and health/wellness sector through public policy interventions Of these options, by far the most cost effective is to empower, educate and motivate individuals to make lasting changes in their lifestyle. This requires a set of tools and a mindset that accepts responsibility for and is empowered to manage personal health more effectively. Fortunately, embedded and wearable sensor devices are available to consumers to enable them to track the physical activity, sleep patterns and dietary intake that are critical to better personal health management. These real-time tracking devices, combined with state of the art body composition analysers and “Gamification” strategies are the basis of a new start-up company “FreshStartXX” which will specialise in personal and corporate health management using a franchise model with multiple revenue streams based around a technology-enabled ecosystem of “win-win” partnerships.
