IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers: 전기전자기술자협회)는 AIEE (American Institute of Electrical Engineers)와 IRE (Institute of Radio Engineers) 가 결합된 것으로 1963년에 시작되었습니다.
미국에서 출발하였지만 세계 전기전자 분야의 중심에서 관련 분야 신기술의 실질적 국제 표준을 정하는 단체로 성장하였습니다.
