Abstract:
Siri is Apple’s AI-based digital assistant for all of its software platforms — iOS, watchOS, tvOS and macOS. In this talk, I will give a high-level overview of its core elements and technologies, with real-world examples that show the unique ways our customers worldwide relate to Apple’s products through the conversational Siri interface.
Yoon Kim is Senior Engineering Manager at Apple. Yoon has been involved in the academic and commercial development of speech technology and conversational interfaces for the past 20 years. He joined Apple in 2013 through the acquisition of Novauris Technologies, where he served as CEO. Prior to Novauris, he led two Silicon Valley startups and was a researcher at SRI International, the incubator of Siri’s original AI technology. Yoon holds a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Stanford University and a bachelor’s degree from KAIST.
