Professor Hyun Myung Lab’s Ph.D Candidate Hyungtae Lim, et al. Awarded 2020 ICCAS Student Best Paper Award

Our department’s Ph.D candidate Hyungtae Lim with Master candidate Sungwon Hwang and SunJae Shin from professor Hyun Myung’s lab has received the Best Student Paper Award from the 2020 ICCAS (International Conference on Contol, Automation and Systems). Due to COVID-19, the conference was held online from last October 13 to 16th.

The ICCAS conference is an international conference held annually by the ICROS (Institute of Control, Robotics and Systems) and has marked it’s 20th anniversary this year. The students presented the paper titled “Normal Distributions Transform is Enough : Real-time 3D Scan Matching for Pose correction of Mobile Robot Under Large Odometry Uncertainties” and was selected among other 310 papers.
