Q. What are your main roles at STX?
A. I currently am in the STX Bintan Power Plant (BPP) team. BPP team is a project team formed to build a coal-fired power plant in Bintan Island, Indonesia. My role in this team is to deal with legal matters such as the Indonesian labor laws. Further, I am responsible for reviewing the contact throughout the entire process.
Q. How did you end up working in such project?
A. First of all, our team does international businesses; inevitably, it was of upmost importance for me to study English. Two of our team members majored in Malayo-Indonesian language and they are responsible for most of the communications. However, since every official document including contracts is written in English, English proficiency is very important.
