Professor Yang Kyounghoon has been awarded the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology General Prize in the <Research Innovation Section> of the ‘Nano-Korea 2008’.
KAIST professor Yang Kyounghoon is awarded the general prize for research on ‘Practical usage technology on next generation quantum effect nano-devices: Resonant tunnel diode integrated circuit’. Prof. Yang has been highly recognized for research results on resonant tunnel diode integrated circuits in possessing strong potentials for industrial use as next generation electronic devices. Shim Yoo-Jung(Ph.D) and Park Jong-Bae(Graduate) (Advisor: Kim Joungho) from our department, received the best paper award from the EMC Compo 2007(6th International Workshop on Electromagnetic Compatibility of Integrated Circuits).
Title: Chip-package-Circuit Co-modeling for Analysis of Digital Power and Ground Noise Coupling Effect on CMOS Negative Feedback Operational Amplifier
To effectively manage the present globalization state and to advertise the BK21 business of the graduate students involved in the BK21 business, the KAIST research center sponsored the 1st outstanding visit abroad essay contest and awarded second and third prizes to KAIST students.
Second prize: Chung Byung-Wook (Advisor: Chun Joohwan)
Third prize: Kim Ga-Won (Advisor: Kim Joungho), Yi Taeyoub (Advisor: Bien Zeungnam), Chung Yae-geun (Advisor: Kweon In So)
The first, second, and thrid prize winners received a stipend of 500,000Won, 300,000Won, and 200,000Won, respectively. The research center will further continue to open the contest to advertise the BK21 business, and highly recommend students who are interested to participate.
Scholarship is given to the best M.S students entering 2008.
