– Which countries must exchange in order to apply for this scholarship?
- This is an exchange between ASEM member countries, so the applicant must check if their country is a member of ASEM. (There are 25 ASEM member countries: Greece, Denmark, Belgium, France, Finland, Germany, England, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Ireland, Austria, China, Japan, Korea, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam, and Brunei.) Duo-Korea exchanges with European ASEM member countries. Those applying through Duo-Korea must be affiliated with a Korean educational institute and must find a pair amongst one of the European ASEM member countries. If a European ASEM member country wishes to exchange with Korea, the Korean educational institution must find its pair, then the applicant may apply to Duo-Korea through the Korean institution. But, a formal exchange agreement must exist between the Korean and European educational institutions. Scholarships will be provided to both students when selected. When forming pairs, the candidates must be from the same domain (i.e. student-student) and below is the definition of a student :
